When Makloc took the above project over from another contractor there was only approx. 10% of the 2200 tons of steel erected. Western Canadian Steel was brought in by Makloc to first off aid in the estimating of steel remaining on the ground as there were no as-built drawings to work from. Once awarded the project WCS mobilized quickly and provided the required man power. Makloc was asked by the owner to compress the schedule to bring the project back in line with the original schedule, this huge schedule request was accepted by WCS and they worked diligently, while maintaining a high level of safety, and helped meet the expectation of the Owner and Makloc.
Makloc has since used Western Canadian Steel on high profile projects, including the Husky Sunrise project, to complete erection on numerous buildings which Makloc’s was awarded the completion of on this site.
Makloc has been more than happy with WCS and would not hesitate to recommend them for any type of steel building erection including everything from conventional and pre-engineered commercial buildings to conventional and pre-engineered industrial buildings.
